Welcome to Trinity Players
Trinity Players is an award-winning amateur theatre society based in Sutton Coldfield, which has been performing high quality shows for over 45 years. Formed in 1975 we have grown to
become a thriving group that puts on three shows each year. We start with our musical in the spring, followed by a play in late summer/early autumn and a musical entertainment-style production

'A Streetcar Named Desire'

This Autumn, the award-winning Trinity Players presents 'A Streetcar Named Desire'.
Facing financial ruin, school teacher Blanche must move in with her estranged sister Stella and brother-in-law Stanley. As the details of her situation become apparent Blanche's world starts to unravel.
Will she be pushed to breaking point?
A story of loss, truth and fragility; Tennessee Williams' masterpiece is one of the most important and highly-acclaimed plays of the 20th century.
This amateur production of 'A Streetcar Named Desire' is presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals Ltd.

Also by special arrangement with the University of the South, Sewanee, Tennessee, USA.

Trinity Players is pleased to announce its next production will be the hilarious comedy, 'Stepping Out' by Richard Harris, which will be performed at Streetly Community Centre in September 2021.
Covid-19
Unfortunately, due to the ongoing impact of Covid-19, Trinity Players will not be able to perform its planned production of Sunset Boulevard in June 2021. Details of future productions will be made available in the new year.
Trinity Players Gains More Awards
Trinity Players is proud to announce it has won two more prestigious NODA awards. Top Hat was awarded Best Musical and the winter production, 'And The Winner Is...'
gained the award for Best Concert. A huge well done to all involved and tremendous thanks to NODA.
Wind In The Willows Wins Best Drama 2016
Trinity Players is very proud to announce it has been awarded the NODA Best Drama 2016 award for its tremendously successful production of Wind In The Willows.
Hairspray Awarded Best Musical 2015
Trinity Players is very proud to announce it has been awarded the NODA Regional Production Award For Best Musical 2015 for its tremendously successful production of Hairspray.
Hairspray a huge success!
Trinity Players' recent production of Hairspray played to sellout audiences, received a standing ovation after every performance and even had the audience up out of their seats and dancing.

The Ladykillers Runner Up for Best Drama Award
Trinity Players is proud to announce that The Ladykillers, directed by Helen England and performed at Sutton Arts Theatre in September 2014 was nominated and came runner up
for the award of Best Drama at the NODA awards.
Congratulations to Helen and the cast and crew for this recognition of a fantastic production.
TP Retains Award!
Trinity Players is proud to announce that its Musical Director, Tim Harding, has once again won BFAME's
'Roy Marshall Cup for Best Musical Achievement', this time for The Sound Of Music, which was performed in May 2014 at Sutton Coldfield Town Hall.
Congratulations to Tim and everyone else that made 'The Sound of Music' such a fantastic, award-winning production.
And the Awards Continue!
Trinity Players has done it again winning the NODA Best Drama award for
the second year in a row for its 2013 production of 'Open All
Hours'. Performed in September 2013 the show was the first
official stage adaptation of the hugely popular television
series that starred Ronnie Barker and Sir David Jason.
Coinciding with the 40th anniversary of the television show, the
TP production was so successful that the cast and crew have
since embarked on a year long UK tour as
Open All Hours Productions.
TP Wins Another Award!
Trinity Players is proud to announce that its Musical Director and Director, Tim Harding, has won BFAME's
'Roy Marshall Cup for Best Musical Achievement' for Hello Dolly, which was performed in May 2013 at Sutton Coldfield Town Hall.
Everyone at Trinity Players is thrilled with this result, a testament to the hard work and dedication that Tim has given
to the society.
Congratulations to Tim and everyone else that made 'Hello Dolly' such a fantastic, award-winning production.
Awards
At the 2013 BFAME awards Trinity Players was nominated for 6 categories and won 2. Congratulations go to Rob Thomas
for winning 'Outstanding Male Performance in a Musical' and to the cast of Blood Brothers for winning the award for 'Outstanding Achievement for Full Length Drama'.
Trinity Players continued its run of awards at the 2013 NODA awards by winning 'Best Drama in the Birmingham West District' for Blood Brothers.
